A 20-year-old hearing and speech impaired woman in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district was gangraped by four minors on Sunday, one of whom is only 11 years old, police said on Monday.
When the victim of a village under Gaurihar police station went out of the village on Sunday evening to respond to the nature of the incident, the accused from the same village gangraped her in an agricultural area. Police abducted him for two hours before fleeing the scene.
When he did not return home his family members began searching for him at night and found him near a lake in an injured condition. She informed her parents about her ordeal, then went to the police station at night to file the family's first information report (FIR).
Gaurihar police station in-charge Sarita Burman said the four accused were minor boys and belonged to the same village and belonged to the same caste. One of the accused is 11 years old, two of them are 13 years old and the fourth is 14 years old. An FIR was lodged for gangrape. All the accused were arrested on Monday. ”
He said, "The accused have confessed to the crime. They said they committed the crime in an instant. We are going to present the accused before the Juvenile Justice Board at the district headquarters. ”
Two of the accused are studying while the other two have dropped out of school, according to police.
