Bihar police on Friday arrested two foreign laborers on charges of gangraping an 18-year-old girl along with five other locals from Jogani village in Rohtas district.
The two migrants, who were turned into a quarantine center in a village about 1 km south-east of the capital Patna, stayed in a village school.
A case of rape, assault and rioting was registered against both the migrants, Chanchal Yadav and Sureshkumar Yadav, under sections 6376, 4354A, B and C of the Indian Penal Code, and the village youths were identified as Arvind Yadav, Vijay Yadav, Mukesh Yadav. , Amit Yadav and Chulli Paswan based on the victim's statement on Thursday.
Chanchal and Suresh were arrested from the quarantine center on Friday, and raids were carried out to nab the other accused, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Bikramganj, Raj Kumar said.
The girl was sent to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for medical examination and age determination test and reports are awaited, the SDPO said.
The incident happened on Wednesday night when the victim went out of her house. Arvind Yadav had threatened the girl at the point of a knife if she had set an alarm, prompting him to call both foreigners and other villagers.
According to the victim's statement before police, they also took photos and recorded the crime on video and threatened to post it on social media if she reported the incident to her family.
Police did not say how the two provinces managed to leave the quarantine center.
